While the following safety checklists cannot answer all questions on special grinding applications, attached are some general instructions regarding the safe use of grinding wheels. Consult ANSI B7.1 for more specific information about your grinding application.
Grinding wheels are widely used cutting tools with an excellent safety record. This is no mere accident. It is the result of more than 125 years of experience, research and testing by wheel manufacturers, and an extensive and continuing program of education for machine operators in the proper use and care of grinding wheels.
