Pedestal Grinding

An offhand grinding operation (the work is brought to the pedestal grinder and held in the operator's hand while grinding) with one or two wheels mounted on a horizontal spindle. Usually straight Type 01 vitrified toolroom wheels are used to repair and maintain cutting tools used in the manufacturing operation.
