Description of Furniture Sanding
One of the oldest uses for coated abrasives is the sanding and finishing of woods and wood products in the manufacture of furniture. No other area of coated abrasive use is more diversified in product type, shape, and applications than the furniture industry. Garnet, aluminum oxide, ceramic aluminum oxide, silicon carbide, and zirconia alumina products, in both open coat and close coat, are used extensively in furniture plants.
