Foundry Reinforced Cut-Off Wheels
Engineered specifically to efficiently cut the hard-to-grind materials found in a foundry: stainless steel, aerospace alloys, cast irons and steel.
These reinforced cut-off wheels contain strengthening fabric or filament throughout the entire diameter of the wheel. A reinforced cut-off wheel is required on any operation where the grinder is hand-guided (portable) or where the work is not securely clamped.
Foundry Non-Reinforced Cut-Off Wheels
These cool-cutting wheels are designed to cut heat-sensitive materials found in a foundry with minimal burr and burn.
Non-reinforced cut-off wheels are used only on "fixed based" machines where the work is securely clamped and the wheel adequately guarded, and the design of the machine such that the wheel operates in a controlled cutting plane.
