Discs - Cloth - Back-up Pads

Flexible, Low-Profile Pads for Dual Action/Random Orbital Sanders, with their foam backing, are engineered to be more forgiving than vinyl- or plastic-back pads, and thus, are ideal for lighter grinding action and finishing.

Their tapered edges, enable Tapered Pads for Dual Action/Random Orbital Sanders to smoothly conform to contours and curves, while being firm enough for flat surfaces as well.

Three levels of firmness to choose from, based on your application:
Firm: the choice for coarse grit, more aggressive stock-removing grinding
Medium: for intermediate, all-purpose grinding
Soft: make fast work of light grinding, bending and finishing applications

These back-up pads are for PSA cloth discs, typically used on orbital sanders or vertical shaft grinders.

2" and 3" Diameter Back-up Pads for Cloth PSA Discs

The backing of these small, air right-angle grinder, spindle-mounted back-up pads is designed to easily and securely mount and remove PSA-backed discs.

 

Low-Profile Pads for Dual Action/ Random Orbital Sanders 

Soft density low-profile pads utilize 1/2" thick foam for fine finish sanding and offer moderate conformability. Medium low-profile pads have 1/2" thick urethane foam for intermediate and finish sanding. Firm density low-profile pads utilize 1/4" thick urethane foam for flash and seam removal. Back-up pads for PSA discs are shock resistant and have a fiberglass backing plate with a riveted 5/16"-24 threaded shank for added strength and increased heat resistance. 

 

Tapered Pads for Dual Action/Random Orbital Sanders

Designed with medium density polyurethane foam and a tapered edge for conformability, these pads are firm enough for flat surfaces, yet soft enough for severe curves and contours. The 5" and 6" PSA (vinyl-faced) pads are shock resistant and have a fiberglass backing plate with a riveted 5/16"-24 threaded shank for use on random orbital or dual action sanders. The 8" pad has a 5/8"-11 threaded female hub.
